SUPER SCULPEY: BEIGE - 1LB - Super Sculpey is a unique polymer clay, loved by artists, doll makers and animation studios around the world. It has a ceramic like feel and allows for extremely detailed sculpting. It can also be mixed with premo or Sculpey III to change the color. As with all of our polymer clays, it is easy to condition right out of the package and stays soft until you bake it. Super Sculpey features fine tooling and detailing characteristics, and does not “fill in" after tooling. Because of these characteristics, Super Sculpey is preferred by artists for creating both prototypes and molds from which reproductions are made. Additionally, artists use Super Sculpey to create finely detailed finished sculptures. Stays soft until baked – Does not air dry. Remains soft until it is baked in your home oven. Extra clay can be stored and reused - won't dry out! Semi-translucent beige, that once baked, captures the glow of real skin. After baking, it can be sanded, drilled, carved and painted with water-based acrylic paints. BAKING: Polymer Oven Bake Clay - Sculpey clay conforms to ASTM D-4236 and EN 71 safety standards, it is non-toxic and safe to use in your home oven. Simply make your polymer oven bake clay creation and bake in your home or toaster oven at 275 °F for about 15-30 minutes depending on the size of your creation. After baking, it can be sanded, drilled, carved and painted with water-based acrylic paints. This oven bake clay will not dry out, so you can take your time crafting and not have to rush to finish your projects like you do with air dry clay. NON-TOXIC: Made in the USA - Non-Toxic Polymer Clay - This polymer clay is safe since it conforms to ASTM D-4236 and EN 71 AP safety standards to be non-toxic. STORAGE INFORMATION: Our products contain a date code that indicates the date of production, but not “sell by date”. Oven-bake clays, when stored correctly in a cool, dry place, below 77°F and out of direct sunlight, have an expected shelf life of a few years. Shelf life can be impacted by environmental conditions, including heat and humidity, during shipping and storage. We store the clay at Polyform in a cool and dry environment. Improper storage may affect the quality of the clay. One aspect of oven-bake clays is that they react to very warm temperatures. Proper polymer clay storage is essential to freshness. The clay should be stored in a clay compatible container in a very cool, dry place, unexposed to the direct rays of the sun. We recommend containers or bags made out of polypropylene (PP) plastic. Hint: Look for the recycling symbol #5 on the bottom of the container. DO NOT store in a hot environment above 77°F. DO NOT store in direct sunlight. DO NOT store inside a car. Make your craft supplies shopping your last stop. Store the clay in a cool, dark and dry place. Polymer clay can be stored at low temperatures with no ill effects to the properties of the clay. Tip: Refrigeration or freezing can extend the shelf life considerably. In the summer months, the clay may become partially cured if your climate is very hot and your house is not air-conditioned.
